Omar Kayaam

Omar Naveed Kayaam is an experienced professional in the energy trading sector, currently serving as the Chief Investment Officer and Co-Founder of Onyx Capital Group since October 2018. Additionally, Omar holds the position of Co-Founder and Head of Trading at Onyx Commodities, where management of a front office team of 25 personnel and oversight of a diverse portfolio, including gasoline and crude oil, are key responsibilities. Omar previously established the LNG desk and headed trading across various energy commodities. Prior to these roles, Omar contributed to Mandara as Head of Gasoline and Naphtha Trader and began a career as a Junior Trader at Marex Spectron. Educational qualifications include an MEng and BA in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge, completed between 2007 and 2011.
