Odette Ferreira began their work experience as an Event Manager at HiSide Events in 2005, where they were responsible for building client relationships, organizing and coordinating various events, and arranging domestic and international travel. Odette then moved on to work at Terrapinn as an Operations Manager from 2006 to 2008, where they handled event planning, on-site management, budget management, and supplier procurement. Odette later served as the Operations Director at Terrapinn from 2008 to 2012, overseeing planning, project management, cost and budget management, and speaker administration. In 2013, they joined oOh! as the National Operations Executive before transitioning to the role of Operations Process Manager in 2014, where they documented procedures, reviewed processes for improvement, participated in work group meetings, and ensured adherence to safety policies. Currently, they hold the position of Planning & Development Manager at oOh!.

Odette Ferreira received their education from various institutions. In 2002, they attended the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, where they pursued a Bachelor of Social Science (BSocSci) degree in Psychology, completing their studies in 2005. In 2005, they obtained a certificate in Public Relations from PRISA. Later, they enrolled at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria once again for a post-graduate degree in Project Management, which they completed in 2010.
