Brian Connelly

Brian Connelly has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple industries, including education and technology. Brian started their career as a Software Engineer at Intel Corporation in 2000 and also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Purdue University. From 2002 to 2003, they worked as a Software Engineer at NITCO. Brian then transitioned into research and completed their Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 2012. Brian worked as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant during their time at Michigan State University. Following this, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Washington until 2017. In 2017, they joined Ookla as a Data Scientist, and over the years, they have taken up various roles, including Data Science and Analytics Lead, Director of Data Science, Senior Director of Data Science and Analytics, and currently serves as the Vice President of Data Science.

Brian Connelly holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Purdue University, which they obtained from 1998 to 2002. Brian then pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Science at Michigan State University from 2003 to 2005. Brian also pursued two Doctor of Philosophy degrees, one in Computer Science and one in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, both from Michigan State University, which they obtained from 2005 to 2012.
