Sourabh Chatterjee has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Sourabh began their career at Infosys Technologies, where they held several positions including Engagement Manager and Client Relationship Manager. At Infosys, they managed client relationships, delivery, and profitability for a Fortune 100 Life Insurance carrier.
In 2011, Sourabh joined ICICI Lombard, where they served as Vice President of Technology and Head of Applications. Sourabh was responsible for managing the company's application portfolio, including core policy administration systems, claims, reinsurance, and reporting. Sourabh also oversaw systems and processes related to partner tie-ups and L1 support for all applications.
In 2014, Sourabh took on the role of Associate Vice President of Technology at ICICI Lombard, where they managed the company's Ecommerce platform, portals, and productivity and innovation initiatives. Sourabh reported to the CIO and worked closely with vertical business heads.
In 2018, Sourabh joined Bajaj Markets as a Director and member of the board. In this role, they contributed to the creation of a financial services marketplace, partnering with 50 banks, insurers, and financial institutions to distribute various financial products.
Most recently, Sourabh joined Oona Insurance as the Group Chief Technology Officer in 2022.
Sourabh Chatterjee completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Executive MBA - General Management from INSEAD, from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical Engineering from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, from 1995 to 1999. Their high school education was completed at Jawaharlal Nehru School, Bhopal, India, from 1983 to 1994, with a focus on Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

Formalized in October 2022, Oona Insurance is wholly owned by Aseana Insurance and backed up 100% by Warburg Pincus with a USD350 million equity commitment in partnership with Mr. Abhishek Bhatia, Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Oona. Through a buy-and-build strategy, Oona aims to become the pre-eminent digitally-enabled general insurance provider in Southeast Asia. It is seeded with two significant acquisitions – PT Asuransi Bina Dana Arta Tbk (“ABDA”) in Indonesia and Mapfre Insular Insurance Corporation (“MIIC”) in the Philippines, both of which have a long-standing track record and reputation in their respective markets for providing quality products and superior customer service. These assets bring Oona an initial product portfolio, strong distribution relationships, a robust infrastructure, and an immediate foothold in the region upon which to build its business. These companies will be rebranded as Oona in due course. Oona plans to establish its presence in key Southeast Asia markets with the aim of being the number one choice for partners and customers alike, based on its customer service, technology and strong brand.
