Satu Särmö

Satu Särmö has extensive work experience in sourcing and procurement roles. Satu started their career at Nokia Siemens Networks in 1994, where they held various positions including Global Internal Communications Development and SW Sourcing Manager. In these roles, they focused on stakeholder and supplier relationship management, as well as implementing procurement strategies. Satu then moved on to Stockmann Oyj Abp, where they worked as an ICT Sourcing and Contracting Specialist. Here, they developed sourcing and contracting processes, improved software asset management, and achieved cost savings through successful negotiations. Satu Särmö then joined ValueSource Partners OY as a Sourcing Manager, responsible for managing sourcing projects. Currently, they are working at OP Financial Group as a Sourcing Lead, responsible for implementing professional sourcing practices and developing supplier relationship management. Satu also coaches junior colleagues in their role.

Satu Särmö attended Business College in Helsinki but did not obtain any specific degree or field of study. Satu then went on to study at the Institute of Marketing in Helsinki, where they obtained a diploma in Communications with a degree name of MTi-Tiedottaja. Later, they attended the University of Helsinki and studied Communications. In 2011, they obtained a certification in ITIL Foundation 3.0.
