Calandra Barlow

Calandra Barlow has a diverse work experience in the field of care and support services. Calandra started their career at Open Arms Care in 1997 as a Program Specialist, where they worked directly with clients in a residential setting, promoting growth and personal skill development. Calandra then progressed to become a Staff Training Specialist, providing orientation training for newly employed staff and conducting client-specific trainings. From 2001 to 2006, Calandra served as a Program Manager, where they developed and coordinated services for multiple clients, advocating for their well-being. In 2006, they were promoted to Program Service Director, overseeing the overall program operations until 2012. In 2012, they were appointed as the Day Service Director at Open Arms Care Corporation before eventually becoming the Quality Assurance Director in 2013. Calandra'smost recent role at Open Arms Care is Executive Director, a position they have held since April 2018. Throughout their career, Calandra has demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting clients and their families, facilitating growth opportunities, and ensuring the quality of care provided.

Calandra Barlow completed their high school education at Brainerd High School from 1986 to 1989. During this time, they participated in the Honors Program. After graduating from high school, Calandra went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Calandra studied nursing at the university from 1989 to 1994 and successfully earned their degree in nursing.
