OCP Ready Lead And Data Center Transformation Specialist at Open Compute Project Foundation

Mark Dansie has an extensive work history in the technology industry, starting as an Electronics Technician at Negretti & Zambra (Aviation) Ltd in 1974. Mark later worked as a Systems Engineer at Printing Developments International Ltd and a Customer Engineer at Hewlett-Packard. Mark'sroles included account management, installation, and maintenance of HP mainframes and peripherals. In 1987, Mark joined Inflectiontech Limited as a Data Centre Transformation Specialist. More recently, they became an OCP Ready Lead and Data Center Transformation Specialist at Open Compute Project Foundation, where they led the creation of guidelines for colo facilities and IT gear. Currently, Mark serves as an OpenUK Ambassador.

Mark Dansie attended St Andrew's C of E High School from 1967 to 1974. Mark then pursued City & Guilds Electrical Technicians Part 1 & 2 at Croydon College of Design & Technology from 1974 to 1977. Following that, they obtained a City & Guilds Electrical Technicians Certificate from Southampton College of Technology in 1977-1978. In 2014, Mark completed the APMP for PRINCE2® Practitioners at The Knowledge Academy and also undertook the Prince2 Foundation and Practitioner Training. In 2015, they received the ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from Knowledge Academy. Additionally, Mark has other certifications such as Endorser of the EU Code of Conduct for Data Centres in 2016 and CSCS - Professionally Qualified Person in 2014.
