Ian Henshaw

Ian Henshaw is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in entrepreneurship, open data, and technology commercialization. Currently serving as the Managing Director and Entrepreneur in Residence at Cary Innovation Center, Ian also holds the position of Executive In Residence at North Carolina State University, mentoring in the Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Program. As a Problem Solver at Technology Tank, LLC, Ian advises organizations on navigating technology and communication challenges. Ian's notable past roles include Open Data Principal at Jason M. Hare Associates INC., Business Development representative for OpenDataSoft in North America, and CEO of The Open Data Institute of North Carolina. Ian's educational background includes an Executive MS in Management of Technology from Georgia Tech and two Mechanical Engineering degrees from the University at Buffalo and Georgia Institute of Technology.
