Illia Djadi is a seasoned professional in the field of media and human rights, currently serving as a Senior Analyst for Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB) in Africa at Open Doors International since January 2019. Prior experience includes the role of Africa Bureau Chief at World Watch Monitor from January 2013 to December 2018 and various research and consultancy positions, notably at the Media Legal Defence Initiative and ARTICLE 19. Djadi has extensive experience in broadcasting, having worked as a Radio Producer/Presenter at BBC World Service from October 2008 to December 2012 and as a freelance journalist for numerous media organizations from 1997 to 2008.
