Jenke Scheen is a Senior Scientist at the Open Molecular Software Foundation, leading a computational drug discovery group within the ASAP Discovery Consortium since September 2022. Previous experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, where Jenke acted as a science liaison for the computational chemistry core at ASAP Discovery, focusing on open-source drug discovery for antivirals. Jenke has also worked as a consultant at Friemel and completed a PhD at The University of Edinburgh, where research involved advanced structure-based drug design and the integration of AI/ML in free energy calculations. Involvement in the local scientific and corporate communities includes serving as Chair of the SmBCafe Team and Secretary for a business plan competition. Academic qualifications include a MSc in Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences and Science-Based Business and a BSc in Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences from Leiden University.
