Alicia Blázquez

Alicia Blázquez currently serves as the Associate Director of External Communications at Open Society Foundations, having held this position since October 2020, and also manages the External Communications team for Europe and Central Asia. Prior to this role, Alicia worked as a Press Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and held various positions at The ONE Campaign, including Senior Campaigns Manager and Outreach Manager. Alicia began the professional journey at Hill & Knowlton as an Account Executive in the Public Affairs Department. Earlier experiences include internships at the European Commission, Amnesty International, and BÜNDNIS 90/DIE GRÜNEN. Alicia holds a Magister in Politics, Sociology, and Communications from the University of Augsburg, supplemented by studies at the University of York and Université de Franche-Comté.
