Matt Timblin is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience in global safety and risk management. Currently serving as the Senior Director for Global Security and Risk at Open Society Foundations since September 2020, Matt previously held leadership roles at Human Rights Watch as Director of Security and at the BBC as High Risk Advisor. Matt's career includes program and security management roles in various capacities, and military service in the British Army for over a decade. Matt holds a Bachelor's degree in Security and Risk Management from the University of Leicester and completed A Levels in English, History, and French at Windsor Boys School.
