Prasad Chakka

Prasad Chakka is an experienced engineering leader currently working at OpenAI since May 2023. Previously, Prasad served as Head of Engineering at Sundial from March 2021 to March 2023, where Prasad established and led the engineering team. At Datacoral Inc, Prasad worked as a Technical Advisor from February 2019 to June 2021, and at Apixio as Senior Technical Director from November 2019 to February 2021, implementing engineering best practices and designing efficient data ingestion processes for machine learning. Prasad's extensive background includes significant roles at Facebook, where Prasad was a Senior Staff Engineer for over a decade, contributing to various projects including VR applications and Android app rewrites. Earlier experiences include positions at Yahoo as Technical Lead and Informatica, as well as IBM as a Software Engineer, where Prasad contributed to the development of a new indexing method for IBM DB2. Prasad holds a Bachelor of Technology in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and a Master of Science in Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Michigan.
