Amelia Generalis

Amelia Generalis is the Chief People Officer at Opendoor. Amelia has previously worked as the Chief People Officer at 8x8 from January 2018 to September 2021. Amelia has been instrumental in building a global world class Talent Acquisition team that drove the global footprint by approximately 30%, hiring over 500+ new talents into the company. Amelia has also redesigned the Day 1 experience to quickly enable all new joiners. In 2019, Amelia stood up the next generation HR technology stack powered by Workday, designed and implemented the new performance culture supported by a new recognition program with first ever CEO Award, and executed a major acquisition in SE asia.

Amelia Generalis attended Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management, where they earned their MBA with an HR emphasis. Amelia also holds a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Charleston.

Amelia Generalis reports to Eric Wu, Co-Founder & CEO. They work with Carrie Wheeler - CFO, Daniel Morillo - Chief Investment Officer, and Megan Meyer Toolson - Chief Customer Officer.
