Darius Ezell has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Darius began their career as a Help Desk Assistant at Eastern New Mexico University, where they provided technical support and training to faculty, staff, and students. Following this, they worked as a Desktop Support Analyst at Bioware, where they managed inventory, performed hardware and software maintenance, and maintained active directory user accounts.
After that, Darius joined Mitratech as a System Administrator, where they were responsible for their internal datacenter operations. Darius implemented a Citrix XenServer multi-cluster virtualized server environment and migrated the server infrastructure to this environment, which consisted of 150 Windows and Linux servers.
Next, Darius worked at the New Mexico Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Management as an IT Systems Administrator II. Darius led a large-scale project to procure new asset management software and revamped the department's asset management strategies. Later, they were promoted to the role of IT Systems Manager III.
Darius then transitioned to the New Mexico Environment Department as an IT Security and Compliance Administrator II. In this role, they ensured compliance with department, state, and federal regulations and laws. Darius managed endpoint security software, internal audit procedures, and collaborated with other teams to enhance network and application security.
Most recently, Darius joined OpenEye, Cadence Molecular Sciences as the Head of Information Security. Here, they established standards and processes, developed company-wide policies and procedures, and implemented a comprehensive information security program. Darius also ensured compliance with all information security requirements and conducted security training and testing for the staff.
Darius Ezell attended Eastern New Mexico University from 2005 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems.
