Usman Ghani

Usman Ghani is a Scientific Developer at OpenEye and Cadence Molecular Sciences, with a significant background in data science and computational biology. Previously, Usman worked as a Data Scientist at EQRx, where efforts included the development of a customizable optimization module and the creation of bioinformatics tools to enhance biologics therapy discovery. During a graduate tenure at Boston University, Usman focused on integrating physics-based approaches with machine learning to refine protein-protein docking predictions. Usman’s academic credentials include a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Boston University, as well as a BA in Physics and Biochemistry from Colgate University.
