Alan Shanahan

Alan Shanahan has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Alan currently holds the role of Director of Integration Solutions at OpenGov Inc. since November 2021.

Prior to their current position, Alan worked at Waeg, an IBM Company, from 2017 to 2021. Alan held multiple roles during their tenure, including Head of Delivery, Senior Technical Architect, and B2B Commerce Practice Lead. At Waeg, Alan was committed to improving business performance and unlocking value and productivity in companies.

Before joining Waeg, Alan worked as a Senior Technical Architect at Cloudtech (Ireland) from 2016 to 2017. Alan also served as a Technical Architect at Fonteva, Inc. in 2016, and as a Technical Director at Apttus from 2013 to 2015.

Alan's career began in 2000 with roles as a Contract Analyst/Programmer at Murphy's/Heineken Brewery and Waterford Crystal. Alan then transitioned into the role of Web Application Designer/Consultant at WaterfordWeb.net from 2001 to 2007.

In 2007, Alan joined saaspoint as the Managing Principal of Technical Services, where they oversaw technical operations until 2010. Following that, they served as a Technical Director at Astadia from 2010 to 2013.

Alan's work experience showcases their expertise in technical architecture, delivery management, and integration solutions, with a focus on Salesforce and B2B commerce.

Alan Shanahan has a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Applied Computing from the Waterford Institute of Technology. In addition to their degree, they have obtained certifications in "Leading and Motivating People with Different Personalities" and "Learning Python (2020)" from LinkedIn in December 2021.
