Scott Coble

Scott Coble has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Scott began their career as a Systems Integrator and Software Engineer at GE, where they developed and maintained financial database management systems. Scott then worked as an Information Technology Manager for the City of Frederick, where they were responsible for designing and maintaining their IT systems.

Coble then transitioned to the United States Intelligence Community, where they served as a Senior Technical Project Manager, Software Engineer, and Product Architect. In this role, they were responsible for project management, budgeting, software development, customer support, and information security for various federal government agencies and departments.

After their time in the intelligence community, Coble co-founded pixelEYESthis, a creative design company. Scott served as the Co-founder and Director of Creative Design, working with clients to enhance their corporate identities.

Coble then joined Montgomery County Government, initially serving as a Senior Project Manager, Application Architect, and Senior Software Engineer in the Department of Technology Services. Scott later became the Manager of Process and Technology in the Office of Management and Budget, where they oversaw budgeting, staff management, IT system maintenance, and strategic technology solutions. Coble led the development of an in-house budget analysis application and statistical information application called BASIS.

Currently, Coble is the Director of Product at OpenGov Inc., a position they have held since 2018.

Scott Coble has a diverse educational background in the field of administration and technology. Scott obtained a Certified Public Manager (CPM) certification from The George Washington University in 2016. Prior to that, they pursued a Masters degree in Information and Telecommunications Systems from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School from 2000 to 2003. Scott'sundergraduate education was completed at Virginia Tech, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from 1993 to 1998. In addition to their formal education, Scott Coble has also obtained additional certifications. In 2016, they received a Lean Six Sigma certification from Villanova University.
