Sunpreet Singh Arora

Sunpreet Singh Arora is a highly experienced professional in the field of identity and AI security, currently serving as Director of Visa Research since February 2017. In this role, Sunpreet leads teams focused on advancing federated learning security, large language model safety, and privacy-preserving biometrics. Prior positions at Visa include Lead Research Scientist and Staff Research Scientist, with notable contributions in creating Visa's first privacy-preserving federated identity platform and adversarial attack mechanisms for biometric systems. Sunpreet holds significant roles in various organizations, including Board Member for OpenID Foundation and FIDO Alliance, and Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Biometrics, Behavior and Identity Science. In addition, Sunpreet has a strong academic background, earning a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Michigan State University and has published extensively in renowned conferences and media outlets.
