M.D. Borhan Mia

Md Borhan Mia is a seasoned photonics design engineer with extensive experience in the field of electrical and computer engineering. Currently employed at OpenLight since July 2025, Md Borhan Mia previously held positions at Lumentum as a Senior Hardware Development Engineer and at NeoPhotonics as a Senior Silicon Photonics Design Engineer. In academia, Md Borhan Mia served as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Texas Tech University, focusing on metamaterials and integrated nanophotonics, and contributed as a Lecturer at Daffodil International University, where coordination of the EEE club enriched student engagement. Md Borhan Mia's educational background includes a PhD and a Master of Science degree from Texas Tech University, along with a Bachelor's degree from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
