Torrey Searle has extensive work experience in the software and telecommunications industry. Torrey is currently working as a Software Architect at Openline, a company affiliated with Y Combinator. Prior to their current role, they served as the VoIP Software Development Director at Voxbone, where they were responsible for managing the research and development department. During their time at Voxbone, Torrey also worked as a Senior VoIP Architect, where they designed a highly scalable and geo-redundant VoIP network and contributed to various open-source projects. Before joining Voxbone, Torrey worked at Alcatel-Lucent as a Project Engineer, where they played a crucial role in developing the Multi-Media Application Suite. Torrey also worked at Alten Benelux as a Project Engineer. Earlier in their career, Torrey worked at Indigo Software as a Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented the Presence component of a Java-based SIP Proxy and Presence server. Prior to that, they worked at Difinium as a System Architect, where they contributed to the development of a unified messaging solution, including designing and developing SIP/VoIP components. Torrey Searle received a Bachelor of Science degree in Information and Computer Science from UC Irvine, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. In October 2019, Torrey obtained a certification as a Sangoma Certified Asterisk Professional (sCAP) from Sangoma institution.
