Tarek Allam started their work experience in 2019 as a Software Engineering Intern at GenXComm Inc., where they designed and implemented an internal web application and developed code for an internal research GUI. In 2020, they worked as a Researcher at the Center for Transportation Research at UT Austin, where they analyzed and modeled data for a study on pavement friction regression and led a team in a project analyzing digital image processing techniques. In 2021, they joined General Motors as a Backend Developer, focusing on the Shop, Click, Drive application. Currently, in 2022, Tarek is working as a Backend Engineer II at Openly.
Tarek Allam received a Highschool Diploma from TPS Online School from 2013 to 2017. Later, from 2017 to 2021, they attended The University of Texas at Austin, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. In July 2018, they also earned a Business Minor certification from the McCombs School of Business, The University of Texas at Austin, through the McCombs Summer Institute.
