Haozhou Wang

Haozhou Wang is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in database kernel development. Currently serving as Tech Lead and DB kernel developer at OpenPie since September 2021, Haozhou is focused on PieCloudDB kernel development. Previous roles include Senior Member of Technical Staff (Sr. MTS) at VMware, where significant contributions were made to the Greenplum database kernel, as well as to various projects including PL for Container and PL for Kubernetes. Earlier experience at Pivotal Software, Inc. encompassed positions as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer. Haozhou also held internship roles at SAP. Academically, Haozhou completed a PhD in Computer Science and obtained both a Bachelor of Information Technology with Honours and a second Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from The University of Queensland.
