Scott Brewen

Scott Brewen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and sectors. Scott started their career with the U.S. Coast Guard, where they served as an Officer and held various roles including Commanding Officer and Executive Officer. Scott then worked with the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training as an Assistant Training Director before joining the Oregon Department of Corrections as an Administrator in the Human Resources Division.

Later, Brewen served as the Director of the Oregon State Marine Board, where they were responsible for statewide boating law enforcement and registration. Scott also worked for the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality as the Administrator of the Central Services Division, overseeing functions such as finance, HR, and IT.

Brewen's most recent position was with OpenRoad Global, where they served as Vice President of Global Forwarding. Scott built the company's international air and ocean division and obtained licenses as Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier and Ocean Freight Forwarder. Additionally, they served as the company's Security Coordinator for TSA. Throughout their career, Brewen has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic planning, and expertise in logistics and operations management.

Scott Brewen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the US Coast Guard Academy, which they obtained from 1987 to 1991. Scott also pursued an MBA from the Portland State University - School of Business from 2005 to 2008. Additionally, Scott completed Joint Professional Military Education at the U.S. Naval War College from 2017 to 2019. Scott also possesses various certifications such as Fundamentals of Earned Value Management, Legal Considerations in Contracting, Business Decisions for Contracting, and others. In 2014, Scott obtained Chief Mate and Master endorsements from the U.S. Coast Guard.
