John McBride has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. John started their career as a Registered Nurse at Mayo Clinic from 2014 to 2016, before moving to UCHealth as an ICU Step-Down Registered Nurse from 2016 to 2018. McBride then transitioned into the field of software engineering, working as an Engineering Teaching Assistant at Oregon State University in 2017, where they assisted students in designing low level systems and programming.
In 2018, McBride joined Compassion International as a Software Engineer, contributing to the design and development of micro-services and automated solutions for financial transactions. John actively engaged with the open-source community, making contributions to upstream Kubernetes and Cloud Native projects.
In 2022, McBride joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Software Development Engineer before transitioning to their current role as a Senior Engineer at OpenSauced in 2023.
John McBride obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Oregon State University, where they studied from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at South Dakota State University from 2010 to 2014.
