Maria Adelaide Tavares

Maria Adelaide Tavares has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Maria Adelaide is currently working as the Lead Implementation Manager at OpenSC since November 2022. Prior to this, Maria worked at the World Food Programme from August 2019 to November 2022, where they held various positions including Innovative Finance @ SheCan, Environmental Officer, and Innovation Manager.

Before joining the World Food Programme, Maria worked at Tiger Facility Services as the VP of Operations from September 2018 to July 2019, and as an Entrepreneur In Residence from February 2018 to August 2018.

Maria Adelaide also has experience at AirHelp, where they worked as a Data & Strategy Analyst from March 2017 to January 2018, a Product Manager from September 2015 to March 2017, and a Country Manager for Portugal from February 2014 to September 2015.

Furthermore, Maria worked at Vodafone as a Business Analyst from February 2012 to January 2014, and at Redes Energéticas Nacionais as a Summer Internship in July 2011. Maria Adelaide also had part-time internship experience at the Ministry of Economy and Innovation from March 2010 to June 2010, and a summer internship at Caixa Geral de Depósitos in July 2009.

Maria Adelaide Tavares began their education in 2007 at the Nova School of Business and Economics, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics. Maria Adelaide successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2010. In the subsequent year, from 2009 to 2010, they attended Universidad Rey Juan Carlos to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Following this, Maria pursued further education and completed a Master's degree in Finance at the Nova School of Business and Economics from 2010 to 2012.
