Omar Selim

Omar Selim has worked in the engineering and construction industry for over 15 years. In 2021, they co-founded st-solutions.net and Plannerly - The BIM Management Platform, where they served as a localization partner. Omar also co-founded PMS Engineering Office and worked as a BIM Manager for zBuilder.online, Construction Engineering Management - CEM, and Redco Construction Almana. In 2022, they became the BIM Manager for CICO Consulting Engineers and a Bricks ambassador for Bricks. Additionally, they worked as an OSM Tasking Manager for OpenStreetMap Foundation. From 2006 to 2021, Omar was the Director of BIMarabia Magazine and Director of BIM arabia Blog.

Omar Selim has a diverse educational background. Omar is currently enrolled in a Master in Global BIM Management for Infrastructure Projects at the Universitat de Barcelona. Omar also holds a Master’s in Global BIM Management for Infrastructure Projects from Zigurat Global Institute of Technology, which they began in 2021. In 2016, they obtained a Royal Institution of Charted Surveyors (RICS) certification, as well as an advanced diploma in architectural visualization from CGWAY Academy. In 2015, they received a BIM Diploma in highway & infrastructure design from Aldarayn and an Architecture Diploma from EXELLENT WAY, Egypt. Omar has also obtained certifications from Skillup, Arcign, Coursera, Autodesk, Bentley Systems, Reed.co.uk, EPFL, Coventry University, operamacademy, and LinkedIn.
