Kennedy McDaniel, Ph.D.

Kennedy McDaniel Bae, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Starting in 2016, Kennedy worked as an Independent Consultant, where they designed clinical research trials, provided market entry strategies, and reviewed publications for scientific journals. In 2017, Kennedy joined Adivo Associates LLC as an Associate Consultant, managing teams and consulting for healthcare and biotech companies. In the same year, they also worked at Koniku as a Product Manager and later as a Product Lead, negotiating contracts and co-developing projects with Fortune 500 companies.

In 2019, Kennedy became the Chief Executive Officer of Banting, a public benefit corporation focused on making insulin more accessible and affordable. They successfully fundraised and built a top-tier advisory team. In 2020, Kennedy had various roles, including being a Member at South Park Commons, Co-Host of the Startup from Scratch Podcast, and a Fellow at On Deck. They also joined Opentrons Labworks Inc. in 2022 as a Senior Product Manager, contributing to the development of open-source robots for life scientists.

Kennedy's most recent role is Associate Director of Product at Opentrons Labworks Inc., starting in March 2023. Additionally, they have served as an Advisor for iGEM EPIC since March 2022 and as the Head of Product at Canid, a vaccine management solution provider, from March 2021 to April 2022.

Kennedy McDaniel Bae, Ph.D. holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Interdisciplinary Biomedical Sciences from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Kennedy McDaniel completed this degree between the years 2009 and 2013. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2009, Kennedy attained their Bachelor's Degree in Biology, General from the University of Miami.
