Douglas Witter

Douglas Witter serves as Senior Director and Legal Counsel in the Asset Management Division at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. since 2015. Previously, Witter held the position of Compliance Officer at The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America from 2008 to 2015 and worked as Senior Special Counsel in the Market Surveillance Division at NYSE Regulation from 2005 to 2008. Early in the career, Witter served as Legal Counsel at J.P. Morgan from 2003 to 2005 and was involved as Legal Counsel and Investment Banking Associate at Keefe Managers and Keefe Ventures between 2002 and 2003. Witter's foundational experience includes roles as Securities Law Clerk at both Cantey Hanger LLP and the US Securities and Exchange Commission in 1998-1999. Witter holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Rochester, a JD in Securities, Corporate and Taxation Law from Texas A&M University, and a BS in Economics from Pace University.
