Natalio Rivas

Natalio Rivas is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, holding the position of Director, Process & Technology at Opportune LLP since December 2008. In this role, Rivas has been instrumental in developing Energy Trading & Risk Management technology and international service lines, leading teams to provide client services in the United States and internationally. Prior experience includes serving as Manager of Risk Technology and Operations at Deloitte & Touche, LLP, where Rivas led consulting teams focused on ETRM systems in Europe, and holding managerial roles in IT at Duke Energy, where Rivas oversaw J2EE applications and maintained a high-availability trading platform. Earlier experience includes a role as Programming Services Manager at Sonic Systems Int'l Inc., where Rivas led the development of software solutions for the power generation and petrochemical industries. Rivas possesses a Post Graduate Program in Data Science and Business Analytics from The University of Texas at Austin, an MBA in Finance and Statistics from the University of Houston, and a BS in Computer Science also from the University of Houston.
