Taylor Deacon-King

Taylor Deacon-King has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Their most recent position was as a People and Culture Coordinator at Opportunity International Australia, starting in August 2022. Prior to this role, Taylor worked at the same organization as a Program Officer from February 2020 to August 2022, and as a Program Support Officer from February 2019 to February 2020.

In 2018, Taylor worked as a Content Intern at Sayfty. Before that, in 2017, they completed a Social Performance Management Internship at Opportunity International Australia.

Taylor's earliest work experience was as a volunteer at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick, where they contributed their time and skills from March to November 2008.

Taylor Deacon-King has a diverse education history. In 2017, they pursued a Master's degree in Emerging Economies and International Development at King's College London, which they completed in 2018. In 2020, they studied Gender studies specifically focusing on Gender, Crime, and Violence at Macquarie University. During the same year, they also engaged in further education at the NSW Health Education Centre against Violence, where they focused on Domestic Violence and Men's Behaviour Change. From 2014 to 2017, Taylor attended The University of Notre Dame Australia, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree with a specialization in Management. Additionally, in 2016 and 2017, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce with a concentration in Management at St Mary's University in Twickenham. Looking ahead, Taylor plans to pursue a Cert IV in Human Resources Management at the Australian HR Institute, with the program expected to be completed in 2023.
