Jan Miller

Jan Miller has a diverse work experience in the IT-security and malware analysis field. From 2023 until the present, they have been serving as the CTO of Threat Analysis at OPSWAT. Prior to this role, from 2022 to 2023, they worked as the Director of Engineering of Malware Analysis Solutions at OPSWAT. Before joining OPSWAT, Jan Miller was the CEO and Technical Lead at FileScan GmbH, an IT-security company based in Germany. Their role at FileScan GmbH ended in 2022 when the company's assets were acquired by OPSWAT. They also had experience as an IT Consultant and Manager of Hybrid Analysis at CrowdStrike from 2019 to 2019 and 2018 to 2019, respectively. Jan Miller's entrepreneurial experience includes being the CEO and Founder of Payload Security UG (h.b.), where they operated and led an IT-Security software company from 2014 to 2017. Before that, they served as a Senior Software Developer & IT-Consultant at Joe Security LLC from 2012 to 2014 and as a Software Developer at arvato systems from 2011 to 2012. Jan Miller attended Universität Rostock from 2005 to 2011, where they obtained a Diplom degree in Informatik. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in Secure Coding in Java from LinkedIn in October 2022.
