Efrat Shalom has a diverse work experience in the field of visual merchandising and design. Efrat started their career as a Stage & Costume Designer in 2003 and worked in that role until 2011. Efrat then joined H&M as a Visual Merchandiser from 2011 to 2014. Efrat then became a Design and Architecture Researcher at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 2015 to 2019. Efrat then worked as a Visual Merchandising Manager at MGS from 2020 to 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Visual Merchandising at Opticana since April 2022.

Efrat Shalom (Aravot) has pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Urban and Regional Planning at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
