Viggo Brevik

Viggo Brevik has over 30 years of work experience in the fishing and maritime industry. Viggo started their career as a Fisherman in various fishing companies, including Longvatrål A/S, Håkon Hansen A/S, and Eldborg Havfiske A/S. In 1995, they became a Factory Foreman and Factory Manager at Eldborg Havfiske A/S, where they led the startup of a new factory on a new factory vessel and implemented regulations and maintenance routines.

In 2000, Viggo became the Factory Manager at Sea Hunter Fishing Ltd, where they managed a processing plant, improved product quality and introduced a cleaning program and quality controller. From 2004 to 2007, they worked as a Factory Foreman at P/F Næraberg, organizing 24-hour production and creating shift lists for optimal production.

Viggo joined Aker BioMarine in 2007 and held various roles, including Factory Manager, Fleet Production Manager, Fleet Production Director, and General Manager Uruguay. During their time at Aker BioMarine, they focused on implementing new products, improving production methods, enhancing communication and coordination between teams, and leading the design team for a new processing plant.

In 2020, Viggo joined Optimar AS as the VP of Global Sales Onboard & Onshore. Viggo'sextensive experience in the fishing and maritime industry positions him well for this role.
