Heather Spencer

Heather Spencer is a skilled healthcare professional with extensive experience in hospital medicine and nursing. Currently serving as a Nurse Practitioner at OptiMed Hospitalists PLLC since September 2021, Heather previously worked as a Hospitalist and ACNP at Catawba Valley Medical Center, where responsibilities included critical care, intermediate care, and oncology nursing from June 2014 to September 2020. Heather holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on Family Nurse Practitioner and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama, earned between 2018 and 2020, and a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing from Appalachian State University, completed in 2017. An Associate of Science in Registered Nursing was obtained from Western Piedmont Community College in 2014.
