Samuel Ruiz

Samuel Ruiz has extensive work experience in the field of Human Resources. Samuel began their career as an HR Office Assistant at a consultancy firm, where they managed administrative processes, accounts, logistics, and HR for a pub owned by the company. Samuel then worked as an HR Assistant and PA to the Mayor at a local council, where they set up the HR department and was responsible for talent management.

In 2013, Samuel joined EAT. as a customer host and quickly rose through the ranks to become an Assistant Manager. During this time, they also assisted the Recruitment Team during open days.

Samuel subsequently worked as an International Recruitment & HR Coordinator at Medical Professional Personnel Ltd, where they reported to the HR and Recruitment Managers and was in charge of the International and Permanent desk. Samuel also conducted candidate research and posted job descriptions on social media platforms.

Samuel then joined MSI Group Ltd as a Senior Compliance Officer, where they supervised the compliance process for three different teams. Samuel also provided HR advice regarding visas and Home Office applications.

Samuel later worked at SOS Healthcare Nursing Agency as a Senior Group Compliance Officer, managing the compliance process across all branches of the group and arranging new contracts with training providers.

From 2017 onwards, Samuel worked at Optimity Ltd, initially as an HR Assistant and gradually progressing to HR Officer, HR Manager, and currently as the Head of People & Talent. In this role, they are responsible for various HR functions, including health and safety, staff handbook management, recruitment, induction, and policy updates. Samuel is also designated as a First Aider, Fire Marshal, and H&S Officer for the company.

In addition to their roles at these companies, Samuel had a temporary placement as an Office Manager at various agencies, where they provided PA support to the CEO and supervised various aspects of the business, including reception cover, learning and development, HR files, and recruitment.

Overall, Samuel Ruiz has developed a strong skillset in HR and has experience in various HR roles, including compliance, recruitment, talent management, and office management.

Samuel Ruiz began their education journey in 2005 at Universidad de Granada, where they pursued a Diploma of Higher Education in Labor Relations, specifically focusing on Employment Law and HR. Samuel successfully completed their studies in 2008. Following this, they enrolled at Universidad de Sevilla in 2008 and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication.

In addition to their formal education, Samuel Ruiz obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2009, they obtained a Teaching Certificate from the University of Granada. Later, in 2018, they completed the CIPD Level 5 in HR Management from DPG plc. In 2019, they acquired the IOSH certification from Wise Global Training Ltd. Most recently, in February 2021, they received the HR as a Business Partner certification from LinkedIn.
