De Ru Tsai

De Ru Tsai is a Robotics & Computer Vision Engineer and Project Manager at Optosurgical LLC, overseeing the ARPA-H project on advanced imaging-aided autonomous robotic cholecystectomy since October 2023. Previously, De Ru Tsai worked as an Associate Research Fellow at the Industrial Technology Research Institute, where a mold-free robotic roller hemming system was designed to reduce costs. De Ru Tsai also completed military service managing substitute recruits for the National Fire Agency and contributed as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, focusing on tactile devices and experimental procedures. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Robotics and Autonomous Systems from Arizona State University and two Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University.
