Jesus Bravo

Jesus Bravo has had extensive experience in risk management and investment oversight. Jesus is currently the VP of Investment Risk at OPTrust, where they lead teams in managing various types of risks related to investments. Prior to this, Bravo worked at HSBC for several years, holding positions such as Country Head of Traded Risk and Structural Risks, Head Office Senior Risk Officer for Traded Credit and Market Risk, and Head of Market Risk Management for Latin America. During their time at HSBC, they were responsible for managing and analyzing risk-taking activities, setting risk limits, and ensuring compliance with global regulations and internal policies. Bravo also has a background in academia, having worked as a faculty member at EGADE Business School.

Jesus Bravo completed their Master of Science (MSc) in Economics from El Colegio de México from 1997 to 1999. Following that, they pursued their Ph.D. in Finance and Risk Management from EGADE Business School del Tecnológico de Monterrey, which they completed from 2003 to 2008.
