Chris Clayton-Jones

Chris Clayton-Jones has a diverse work experience in finance roles spanning multiple industries and companies. Chris started their career as a Financial Accountant at Hertz Lease in 1997 before becoming a Group Consolidation Accountant at D S Smith plc in 1998. In 2001, they joined Christie's as the Group Financial Controller and Finance Business Owner for the company's transformation program. During their time at Christie's, Chris held various roles, including Director of Group Financial Control and Director of Finance Transformation. Chris was responsible for major finance projects and continuous process improvement, managing the Group Finance team, and ensuring statutory compliance. Chris also represented the company on subsidiary boards. In 2016, they served as the Interim Group Financial Controller at Asprey and later at Nuffield Health. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as an Interim Finance Operations Controller at J. Murphy & Sons Limited. Chris then moved on to become an Interim Financial Consultant at the same company from 2019 to 2020. In 2020, Chris joined Sedgwick as the UK Finance Transformation Manager. Most recently, they have been working at Learning Technologies Group plc as the Interim Group Financial Controller since January 2022. Chris is set to join Opus Talent Solutions as the Director of Finance in June 2023.

Chris Clayton-Jones obtained a Chartered Accountant degree from ICAEW in 1997. Prior to that, from 1989 to 1992, they attended the University of East Anglia, where they earned a B.A (Hons) in Economics with Accountancy. Chris has also obtained the ACA certification from ICAEW.
