John Baldwin III

John Baldwin III has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. John started their career in 2010 as a Line Cook at Rick Erwin's West End and Nantucket Seafood Grill, where they worked multiple stations in a high-volume environment. John then moved on to Sassafras Southern Bistro, where they served as a Line Cook and Assistant Kitchen Manager, responsible for daily preparation work and supervising kitchen staff.

In 2013, John transitioned into the retail industry, joining Sanibel Sunglass Company/Roosters Sunglasses as a Store Manager. John later became a District Manager, overseeing five stores and driving growth, and eventually gained promotion to Senior Manager of Operations, responsible for all 17 company stores.

John's career took a turn towards software engineering in 2017 when they joined The Iron Yard as a Contractor, writing course curricula for technologies like React.js and Redux. John then became a Software Engineer at Transplace, working on the migration of a Java Swing client to an HTML web-based platform using Vue.js and Java.

In 2018, John joined National Tire Wholesale/TBC as a Software Development Engineer, using Adobe ColdFusion, SQL, JavaScript, and jQuery to rewrite and maintain a B2B Ordering platform.

Currently, John works at Orangebees as a Software Engineer, starting in 2019.

John Baldwin III completed a Certificate of Completion in Front End Software Engineering from The Iron Yard in 2017. Prior to that, they attended Greenville Technical College from 2006 to 2007, focusing on Graphic Design. John obtained their B.S in Biological Sciences from Clemson University, where they studied from 2001 to 2006.
