Didier David

Battery Project Director at Orano

Didier David has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Beginning with Valeo in 1990, David worked their way up from a buyer to a Purchasing Director, managing budgets, negotiating international contracts, and overseeing a team of buyers and quality specialists. In 1999, they joined CEGELEC as the Sourcing Senior VP, where they were responsible for group purchasing, managing a team of 270 people in 26 countries. From 2005 to 2006, David served as the Purchasing & Logistics VP at Degremont. Didier then moved on to Orano in 2007, where they held the role of Corporate Production Purchasing VP until 2013, implementing cost reduction plans and managing a corporate team. From 2014 to 2020, they served as the Supply Chain Purchasing and Contract Execution VP at Orano before transitioning to the role of Battery Recycling Project Director in 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Battery Project Director at Orano, overseeing the business development of battery recycling activities.

Didier David attended Lyon Business School from 1981 to 1984, where they earned an MBA with a focus on Economics. In 2008, they also completed an executive program in strategy at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
