Michael Woods has extensive experience in the legal and energy industries. Michael is currently the Vice President & General Counsel of Orano USA, where they oversee the Legal function for the company. Prior to this, they served as the General Counsel & Corporate Secretary of Sol Systems, where they acted as a strategic advisor and handled various legal matters. Michael also worked at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where they were a Partner in the Energy & Corporate Practice Groups, advising energy companies, utilities, and private equity firms on corporate matters and negotiating complex commercial agreements. Additionally, Michael has worked as an Attorney at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Michael Woods completed their education at Emory University School of Law from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Doctor of Law - JD degree. Prior to that, they attended the University of Florida from 1996 to 2000. In terms of additional certifications, Michael obtained the D.C. Bar certification from the D.C. Bar in 2007, and the Georgia Bar certification from the State Bar of Georgia in 2003.
