Sari Alanko

Sari Alanko has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles.

From 1998 to 2004, they worked as an Employment Officer at Vammalan työvoimatoimisto, where they were responsible for training planning, budgeting, and development. Sari also served on the steering group for job search training at the Ministry of Labour.

In 2003, they briefly worked as a Teacher in behavioral sciences at Harjavallan sosiaali- ja terveysalan oppilaitos, taking a leave of absence from their position as an educational planner.

From 2004 to 2009, Sari Alanko held the role of Manager of Apprenticeship training office at Länsirannikon Koulutus Oy WinNova.

Starting in 2009, they took on the role of Human Resources Manager at Apetit Oyj, where they were responsible for HR in Apetit Pakaste Oy and served as HRD at Lännen Tehtaat Oyj.

In 2011, they briefly served as a Human Resources Specialist at Teollisuuden Voima Oyj, where they were involved in creating the Trainee Programme, the Early Intervention Model, and the job description reform.

Sari Alanko became a Human Resources Manager at Simsotec Oy in 2012, responsible for overall HR and General management.

From 2013 to the present, they have been the HR Manager & HR Business Partner at Oras Group, overseeing HR in Oras Ltd. Finland and having group-wide responsibility for HRIT and Compensation & Workforce management processes in Oras Group.

Additionally, Sari Alanko has served on the boards of various organizations. From 2014 to 2020, they were a Member of the Board at Rauman Teknillisen Oppilaitoksen Tukisäätiö. From 2015 to 2018, they served as a Member of the Board at Länsirannikon Koulutus Oy WinNova. In 2016-2017, they were a Member of the Board at Vuojokisäätiö and Vuojoki kartano Oy.

Sari Alanko has a diverse education background. Sari obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Education from Turun yliopisto - University of Turku in the years 1997 to 2001. Additionally, they completed the Johtamisen erikoisammattitutkinto (JET), a leadership specialization, at Edupoli in 2006. Sari also completed The Subject Teacher Education Programme at Häme University of Applied Sciences, HAMK in 2003. Moreover, they attained qualifications in Opetushallinnon tutkinto (Finnish National Agency for Education) in 2006 and Specialist in competence-based qualifications (HAMK) in 2007.

In terms of certifications, Sari Alanko obtained a certificate in Psychological Safety: Clear Blocks to Innovation, Collaboration, and Risk-Taking from LinkedIn in September 2022. Sari also completed a certification in People Analytics from LinkedIn in December 2021.

Lastly, Sari attended Kanneljärven opisto from 1989 to 1992, where they earned a degree in Nuorisotoiminnan ohjaaja (Youth Work, Municipal Administration).
