Msis Ron Fleming

Ron Fleming, MSIS has a diverse work experience in the field of cyber security and information technology. Starting in 1997 as a Network Engineer at MRJ Technology Solutions, they went on to hold various roles such as Senior Systems Engineer at J.G. Van Dyke and Associates, Information Technology Supervisor at Resource Networks, and Senior Security Engineer at First Information Technology Services, Inc. In 2003, they became the Lead Information Risk Manager at CSC, where they worked until 2007.

From 2007 to 2017, Ron joined General Dynamics Information Technology, where they held multiple positions, including Sr. Security Operations and Information Sharing and Analysis Manager, and Cyber Solutions Architect. Ron managed a cross-functional, agile SOC team responsible for all aspects of cybersecurity and played a key role in setting up and managing a centralized Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC) capability.

Afterwards, they worked as the Director of Security Operations at MKACyber in 2017 and then moved to The Goal in 2018 as a Network and Security Operations Subject Matter Expert. In 2019, they joined KPMG US as the Director of Advisory, Government Cybersecurity, before transitioning to their current role as the Director of Cyber Security and CSO at ORBCOMM since December 2020.

Ron Fleming earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Management of Secure Information Systems from George Mason University - School of Business, between 2016 and 2017. Prior to this, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Information Systems at California State University, Los Angeles from 1992 to 1996. Ron also holds a GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN) certification from the SANS Technology Institute, although the specific years of completion are not provided.
