Richard Magnus Jacobsen

Richard Magnus Jacobsen has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Richard Magnus is currently serving as the Director of Sales, EMEA, Container and Port Solutions at ORBCOMM, where they utilize their expertise in IoT technology to optimize industrial operations and promote sustainability. Prior to this, Jacobsen worked as a Director of Sales at Portchain, an AI cloud-based planning software company, where they collaborated with container terminal and carrier teams to enhance operational efficiency. Richard Magnus also held the position of Vice Chairman of the Board at www.nic.fo from 2017 to 2022. Further back in their career, Jacobsen served as the Director of Jacobsen Consulting Service, providing consultancy services on IoT cold chain and telematics. Richard Magnus also worked as the Director of Strategic Alliances and the Vice President of Sales, EMEA at Globe Tracker for a duration of 2015 to 2021. Jacobsen's previous roles include Business Development Manager and Key Account Manager at ASCIO, Consultant at Transatlantic Policy Network, Regional Sales Manager at BRIDEMA A/S, and Assistant Attaché at the Royal Danish Embassy in Helsinki, Finland.

Richard Magnus Jacobsen received their high school education from Studenta skúlin á Kambsdali in the Faroe Islands from 1993 to 1996, where they studied mathematics and social sciences. From 1997 to 1999, they attended Copenhagen Business Academy and obtained a degree in Market Economics. Richard Magnus then pursued a Bachelor Honours Degree in International Economics from Staffordshire University from 1999 to 2000. Finally, from 2000 to 2002, Richard completed their Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in International Business Economics at Aalborg University.
