AM Specialist at Orbex Space

Vincent Benoist has had a varied career in engineering and research. In 2021, they began working as an AM Application Engineer for Orbex. From 2017 to 2021, they were a R&D engineer and PhD student specialized in additive manufacturing design at MECAPOLE. During 2017, they completed an internship at \u00c9cole Nationale d'Ing\u00e9nieurs de Tarbes, where their goal was to prepare for their PhD degree. Vincent performed a preliminary design for additive manufacturing, also taking into account machining post processing, using Topology Optimization software and FEM software. In 2015, they worked as an Engineer Assistant for APAVE. In 2014, they worked as an Engineering Technician for SKF Canada Limited. In 2013, they worked as a Maintenance Technician for Sanden International.

Vincent Benoist has a diverse educational background. Vincent obtained a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Design for Additive Manufacturing from Toulouse INP from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned a M.Eng in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in FEM calculations from Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Tarbes - ENIT from 2014 to 2017. Vincent also obtained a University diploma of technology from Université de Rennes I from 2012 to 2014, covering topics such as mechanical, design, material science, machining, methods, and quality. In 2013, they completed a Certificate of Continuing Education in Aeronautical Engineering from Wrexham Glyndŵr University.
