Cecilia Valdes Canales

Cecilia Valdes Canales has a diverse background in sustainability and impact roles. Cecilia started their career as an Intern at UNCTAD in 2008, followed by a role as Sustainability Coordinator at Club Med. Their experience extends to Deloitte UK, where they worked in sustainability and climate change consulting. Cecilia also held positions at The Finance Innovation Lab, Zoological Society of London (ZSL), and Fundacion Reversible, before joining Orbia as the Global Head of ESG & Impact in 2019. Throughout their career, they have led projects, developed impact strategies, and worked on sustainability initiatives in various sectors and organizations.

Cecilia Valdes Canales completed their Bachelor's in International Business at Tecnológico de Monterrey from 2002 to 2007. Cecilia pursued a Master's in International Affairs with a focus on Economic and Sustainable Development at Sciences Po from 2007 to 2009. Additionally, they completed a double degree in Management at ESCP Business School from 2004 to 2005 and an intensive Mandarin Chinese course at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2006.
