Samet S. Yildirim, MSc, MBS

Samet S. Yildirim, MSc, MBS has worked in a variety of roles in the biotechnology and life sciences industries since 2008. In 2008, they began as a Product Consultant at GNC and a Research Fellow at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine Department of Biophysics. In 2010, they were a Research Intern at Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) and a Business Development & Marketing Specialist at Emtis BioSciences. From 2012-2013, they were a Life Scientist: Applications Development at UVP, LLC. From 2013-2021, they worked at Boehringer Ingelheim, beginning as a Process Scientist, then as an Assoc. Manager, Technology & Innovation, a Technology Innovation Manager, and finally as Head of Global Technology & Innovation, Biopharma Business Unit. In 2020, they joined the Advisory Board Member of Amgen Bioprocessing Center @KGI at Keck Graduate Institute. Most recently, they are the COO & Co-Founder of Orbillion Bio (YC W21).

Samet S. Yildirim received their Bachelor of Science in Biology from Ankara University in 2008. Samet S. then went on to receive their Master of Science in Biophysics from the same university in 2010. In the same year, they completed an Erasmus Training in Molecular Cardiology at the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR). In 2011, they earned their Master of Business and Science (MBS, PSM) from the Keck Graduate Institute, with a focus in Biotechnology, Business of Bioscience & Bioprocessing.
