Kathleen McKenzie Od (Katie)

Kathleen (Katie) McKenzie, OD, is a Surgical Science Liaison at BlueRock Therapeutics since May 2024. Previously, McKenzie served as Associate Director, Clinical Development Surgical Technical Expert at Novartis from January 2023 to May 2024, contributing to the acquisition of Gyroscope Therapeutics. Before that, McKenzie was a Surgical Technical Expert at Gyroscope Therapeutics from May 2021 to June 2023, and a Senior Surgical Specialist at Glaukos Corporation from April 2016 to May 2021. Earlier in their career, McKenzie worked as a Regional Field Trainer and Executive Clinical Outcomes Specialist at Bausch + Lomb and served as an Optometrist at National Vision Inc. Educationally, McKenzie holds a Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health/Hospital Administration from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
