Shahar Yakir

Shahar Yakir has worked in the software engineering field since 2003. Shahar began their career as a System Administrator at IDF Intelligence Corps, where they developed a Perl-based automated HP-UX & Cluster framework and a windows software solution based on VB. Shahar then became the Head Of Core Infrastructure Department at the same company, where they were responsible for large scale infrastructure and led 3 teams delivering enterprise class infrastructure solutions. In 2011, they moved to Orange as an Infrastructure Department Manager. In 2014, they joined My Single Point (MySP) as a Software Engineer. In 2015, they joined Guggy (YC S17) as VP R&D and Co-founder, where they built numerous tech stacks of server (Node. JS), web (React JS) and mobile apps (iOS/Swift/RxSwift + Android) in production environments. In 2019, they moved to UP9, Inc. as a Principal Software Engineer. Most recently, they joined Orbs in 2022 as a Software Engineer.

Shahar Yakir attended MAMRAM Programming Course (IDF) from 2002 to 2003. Shahar then went on to study Computer Science & Business Management at The Open University of Israel from 2006 to 2011, where they obtained a 1st degree. In 2017, they attended Y Combinator.
